The manual and pen case are very high quality and feel absolutely genuine, but that Warranty page doesn't appear to have been filled.
If you have a problem with your pen, you can request repair or replacement under terms of the product warranty. In the last page of the manual (warranty), I was under the impression that there is supposed to be an authorized dealer stamp, as well as a serial number sticker to match the pen. My question is what happened to Koh-I-Noor and my warranty? I am the original and only owner and I still have the blurb of a warranty but I can understand that times change and perhaps they really did not mean what they said forty years ago (even though it was honored in '76).The question I'm about to ask is probably fairly redundant, but I've never rec'd a straight answer so I thought I'd ask it here. The pen was returned in fine working condition and I have used in in the past thirty years for writing Christmas cards only.
In 1976 when I was teaching in Brisbane, Australia my pen did need repair and I mailed it to the above address certified internatinal mail with $2.00. If this pen should fail to function properly for any cause other than wilful or accidental damage, misuse, or inept tampering, we weill restore this pen to original condition at a handling charge of $2.00 provided the pen ins referred to Koh-I-Noor, Inc., Bloomsbury, New Jersey 08804 prior to handling by anyone else. My Mont Blanc came with a nice white case trimmed in brass and a lifetime warranty both of which I still have. You can find a database of MB Boutiques (but not Authorized Dealers) on Montblancs website. Keep your receipt - you may need that too. That was a big expense for a college student who had just worked all summer in Yosemite National Park and trying to save for college expenses. As Hari said, make sure they are an Authorized MB Dealer and that they stamp and date the back page of the warranty book. I purchased my Mont Blanc Diplomat fountain pen in 1970 in Carmel-by-the-Sea, California for $40.
